Funeral Videography at St Mary’s Cathedral Sydney – Remembering Christopher Cassaniti

Funeral videography at St Mary’s Cathedral, with 3,000 attendees, dove release, and a cortege led by his white ute.

We were honoured to provide funeral videography at St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney, for the service of Christopher Cassaniti, a young apprentice who tragically passed away in a workplace accident shortly after his 18th birthday.

The service was attended by more than 3,000 people, including Christopher’s workmates. We captured the story of the day, including the arrival of the cortege, the cathedral service, the dove release by the hearse, and the departure. As a personal tribute, Christopher’s new white ute led the hearse and cortege, symbolising his life and passions.

The cathedral reached full capacity, with many people waiting outside to pay their respects. The family later placed a heartfelt “Thank You” in the Italian newspaper La Fiamma, acknowledging the overwhelming support and love shown on the day.

Feedback from the family, shared via Sam Guarna Funeral Services, was deeply moving:

“The family were very thankful that you were able to assist as they wish to treasure that day of the funeral for their son. For them, capturing anything to do with Christopher is important for them as it helps with the grief…again, thank you so much as always.”

It was an immense privilege to document this service and provide the family with a lasting record of such a significant day.

I have just viewed, and so beautifully filmed. This is so special to have, not only for us but for a great many family members unable to attend, from Europe and Ireland. I was impressed by your complete professionalism and caring nature.
